schools offer courses by the same names
and even same numbers.
What is the difference?
Although advertising for the same
program, each University has their own
requirements, curriculum and reputation
regarding the quality of the Degree a
student can obtain upon completion of
the program they have decided to enroll
in.The same
goes for training in Hypnosis and
Hypnotherapy.
Each school is independent and
establishes its own prerequisites.
Since you are entering an unregulated
field of study, how about examining the
integrity of the training a school is
offering?
The professional designations are
usually similar, but what about the
training?
Hypnosis and
Hypnotherapy is a people skill and is
best learned in a classroom setting. In
this field, we connect with real people,
their sorrow, their fears, their hopes,
their visions, their joy, their wants.
At The Hypnotism
Training Institute of Alberta, we start
by training in hypnosis, the base of it
all. It consists of HYP 101 (19 hrs)
followed by HYP 201 (50 hrs) and HYP 202
(50 hrs)
HYP 203 (50 hrs)
and 204 (50 hrs), the second part of the
week long courses is hypnotherapy, using
hypnosis as a tool to do therapy,
helping a client regressing from effect
back to cause to resolve whatever has to
be resolved.
Upon completing
219 hrs of hypnosis and hypnotherapy
training, as a Hypnotism Training
Institute of Alberta Certified
Hypnotherapist you will have the
additional choice of being certified by:
ACHE - The American Council of
Hypnotist Examiners.
IMDHA – The International Medical
and Dental Hypnotherapy Association
NGH – The National Guild of
Hypnotists
CCHE – The Canadian Council of
Hypnotist Examiners
As Hypnotism Training
Institute of Alberta Certified
Hypnotherapist, you will now hold the
Master Key to open the door to more
advanced courses, should you decide to
do so.
HYP 301 (16 hrs)
and 302 (50 hrs), Hypno-Baby Birthing
Facilitator, one of the most advanced,
comprehensive and effective training in
the field.
HYP 501 (50 hrs),
The Complete Stage Hypnosis Master
Course
HYP 601 (50 hrs),
Hypnosis and the Paranormal, a
transpersonal course also called
Spiritual Hypnosis. It is about the
psyche.
and
HYP 602 (50 hrs), Physiological Stress
Release, helping the body release
physical trauma.
Upon having
completed HYP 601 and HYP 602 Hypnotism
Training Institute of Alberta Certified
Hypnotherapists are granted the
designation of
Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist.
These courses are
intensive and given one a month to allow
for study, assimilation, practice and
research between these very thorough
courses. Following many requests for
accelerated training, HYP 201, 202, 203
and 204 where given every two weeks in
July and August 2005 and 2006.
Enrollment was good, however evaluation
results were lower than the standards
expected. Consequently, for quality of
instruction and graduate competency,
success of graduates, school standards
and ethical reasons it was decided to
return to the regular one week a month
schedule.
 Hypnosis is a
fascinating field, and the higher your
level of training and understanding of
the subject matter, the more rewarding
the results.
And all of this at levels you would have
never thought of reaching.
